Mamie Leonie Rodi Forbe

Mrs. Mamie Leonie Rodi Forbe passed away on Sunday, August 19, 2012 at Oak Haven Community Care Center in Centerpoint, LA. Mrs. Forbe, age 99 years was a lifelong resident of Buras, LA until Hurricane Katrina destroyed her home, at which time she moved to the Pineville,LA area to be near family. Beloved wife of the late Joseph L. Forbe. Loving mother of Susie Forbe and the late Harold Forbe, wife the late Euriel Hingle Forbe and L.J. Forbe(wife Evanne Forbe). Mrs.Forbe is also survived by 5 grandchildren; Ricky, Kathy, Mark, Joey and Jason; 13 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren and many other loving relatives and friends. Mrs. Forbe was known by all as “Mama.” She was a member of Riverview Baptist Church formerly in Buras, LA. Her greatest joy in life was cooking and taking care of her family. She was a great blessing to all who knew her. Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Funeral service at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at 11 AM. Visitation will be Thursday from 9AM until funeral time. Interment in Our Lady of Good Harbor Cemetery, Buras, LA.
