Manolo Allas Alagar entered into eternal rest on May 1, 2023. Beloved husband of Maxine Panlasigui Alagar. Father of Mylisa Alagar-Montz (Lance Candon). Son of the late Cosme P. Alagar and Margarita Allas Alagar. Brother of Evelyn Veneracion (Ben), Teresita Stanley (Steve), Cosmelito Alagar (Grace), and the late Arsenio Alagar (Lilia). Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. Age 85 years, a native of Tayug Pangasinan, Philippines, and a resident of Suwanee, GA. Manolo joined the United States Navy in the Philippines and upon his honorable discharge became a citizen of the United States. He met Maxine in Gretna, LA and they married in 1967. They settled down to raise their daughter in New Orleans, LA. He worked as an accountant for many years, and then an equipment manager later in his career until retirement in Birmingham, AL. He and Maxine then settled in Suwanee, GA for the last 17 years. Manolo will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered as wonderful husband, father, brother, and dear friend to all.
Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy, Harvey, LA on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at 11 AM. Interment Westlawn Cemetery South, Gretna, LA. Visitation will be held from 9 AM until service time.
