Margaret Hamby Cognevich

Margaret Hamby Cognevich passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2014, at the age of 76 years. Margaret is survived by her husband, Rene J. Cognevich of Eunice, LA; two sons, Steven Dale Cognevich and wife Remonia Blanchard of Milton, Fl, and Gregory Todd Cognevich and wife DonnaRaye Galmiche of Maxie, LA; two daughters, Karen Renee' C. Zegura and husband Kenneth of Buras, LA, and Cherie’ Lynn C. Stephens and husband Andy Stephens, Jr. of Eunice, LA; four sisters, Bonnie Valentine of San Antonio, TX; Barbara Dumas of Youngsville, LA; Shirley Bellue of Baton Rouge, LA; Jeanne Bowers of Belle Chasse, LA; eleven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and three step-great grandchildren. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, James Orlan Hamby and Blanche Peters Hamby and one brother, Donald Hamby.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services in the chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Monday, July 28, 2014 at 11 AM. Interment Our Lady of Good Harbor Cemetery in Buras. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 6 PM to 10 PM, resuming on Monday from 8 AM to 11 AM.
