Margaret "Val" Delatte

Margret “Val” DeLatte, 75, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Friday November 20th 2015 from natural causes. Born July 14th, 1940 in Huddersfield, Yorkshire England. Daughter of the late William McDermott. and Margret Earnshaw McDermott. Sister to the late Maureen McDermott House. Devoted, loving wife to the late Edward R DeLatte for 55 years. Loving, caring, mother of Maureen Cass (Paul), Michelle Charlie (Kevin) and Melissa DeLatte. Proud Grandmother of Karen Danos (Charlie), Kelly Danos (Brandon), Courtney Marks (Blake), Jacob Charlie and Alissa DeLatte. Beloved Great-Grandmother of Jared and Kenny Gisclair and Kyle and Kaleb Barr. Dearest friend of Mike, Janet, Christine, Ryan and Leah Tredinich. A native British subject moved to the United States in 1956 "Val" resided in Harvey, for the past 36 years she was a member of St. Martha Church. Val was a very warm, friendly woman, always positive, loved people and loved life. Her big, beautiful smile will be greatly missed. She enjoyed following the British Monarchy while raising her children, grandchildren, traveling and watching the Saints with Eddie she also loved listening to Country music. Val began her career at Hibernia National Bank before trading in her switchboard headset for an apron.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Celebration of Her Life on Saturday, November 28th.
