Margaret (Marguerite) Dragon Treadway

Margaret (Marguerite) Dragon Treadway, age 94, passed away peacefully at her residence on Saturday, October 8, 2022. Loving wife of 76 years to the late Milton M. Treadway, and mother of Treva T. Cairns (Robert), Deborah T. Arnold (Joseph), Maureen T. Blackburn (James), Matthew M. Treadway, and the late Deana A. Treadway. Also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, a host of loving friends, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Margaret was born in Pointe a’ la Hache, Louisiana on March 3, 1928 and is predeceased by her parents, Arthur Adam Dragon and Pauline Ansardi Dragon; along with her siblings, Eva, Adam, Verda, Thelma, Marie, and Edwin. She was a lifelong resident of Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana, spending her last 17 years in Covington, Louisiana. She will be remembered fondly and sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, Louisiana on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held Saturday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Following the Funeral Mass interment will be held at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Port Sulphur, Louisiana.
