Margaret Ann Oswald Saboe

Margaret Ann Saboe, age 75, fondly known as Peggy, passed away peacefully at her home on March 27, 2022, surrounded by her family and a room filled with love.

Peggy was born on November 27, 1946, in Norristown, PA to the late Charles and Helen (Baker) Oswald. She was preceded in death by her sisters Beaty Greco and Mary Oswald. When these three got together, a good belly laugh was sure to be had, especially when instigated by our dad.

She married the late Frank Saboe in 1967 at Our Mother of Sorrows Church in Bridgeport, PA, before relocating to Gretna, LA, where they lived and raised their loving and crazy brood. She was his adored wife and always his “Queen” of 45 years.

Peggy will be sorely missed by her children Lucia Saboe Kull (and her husband Bryan); Andrew Saboe (deceased), Karen Saboe, Jennifer Ordoyne (and her husband Tad), and Frank Saboe. She is also survived by her adored grandchildren, Sage Dahl (and her husband Grant), Elle Ordoyne, and Kailyn Saboe; along with the countless other family members and friends who were blessed to have known her.

To know Peggy was to appreciate her incredible love of reading, her beautiful smile, and a contagious laugh that would bring us all to tears. She had a quiet way about her, a laugh-at-life sense of humor, and was renowned for always reminding us, “Just the facts, please.” More than anything, she immensely loved her kids and grandchildren.

A private family 'Celebration of Life' will be held. In lieu of flowers or donations, we ask that you raise a glass and give a toast in honor of the most beautiful and strong woman we knew.
