Margie Rodriguez Montet

Margie Rodriguez Montet, age 82, accepted an invitation by her heavenly Father to spend eternity with him on Tuesday, December 16, 2014. Born in White Castle, LA, a longtime resident of Harvey and a devout member of St. Rosalie Church. Left to cherish each moment that we were blessed with Margie are: her husband of 14 glorious years, Wilton Montet; her daughters, Karen Barton (Gregory), Darlene Rodriguez (Armando), Sandra Daigle (Douglas) and her step-daughter, Toni Crum (William); her grandchildren Allen Parks, Jr., Chelsea Lefort, and Eric Allred (Whitney); her great grandchildren Aidan Lefort, Marshall, Chastity, Kizer, and Mia Ruth Allred; brother of A. J. Rodriguez; sister of Theresa Champagne; and aunt of numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by: her first husband, Anthony “Pete” Saluto and her son, Conrad Saluto; her parents Alger and Helen Rodriguez; and 6 sisters and 6 brothers. Her husband, Wilton, loved her as much as any man could love. The devotion they had for each other is unmatched. Margie was much more than a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a great- grandmother. She was our best friend, our confidant, our teacher of life, our ROCK, the glue that held us together. We started and ended each day by talking to her. The only difference is now she’ll be listening from Heaven. All invited to visitation at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd, Marrero, LA on Saturday, December 20th from 9:00 AM till 12:30 pm with Funeral Mass to follow in the chapel. Interment at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery, 146 Fourth St., Westwego, LA. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to “HOMELESS MINISTRY”/Center of Jesus the Lord Church, 1236 N.
