Marie Augustine Creppel Ranches

Marie Augustine Creppel Ranches was granted her Angel Wings on Sunday, August 10, 2014 at the age of 81 years. Her final days were spent surrounded by beloved family and friends that she touched in some way. Augustine was born on January 5, 1933 in Little Temple, LA to the late Vincent and Clemence Billiot Creppel. She is preceded in death by her brothers and sister, Abby, Milton “Coon”, Isaac, August “Amedelle” Celestine and Danny Creppel. She is survived by brothers, Clarence and Leonce Creppel. Mother to Ruby Dufrene (husband Felix) and Danny “Knock” Ranches, Sr. (wife Sandra). Grandmother to Aaron “Butch” Dufrene, Tina “Tee” Dufrene, Chastity Durand, Danny “Big Man” Ranches, Jr. and Brandon Ranches. Survived by 14 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren, 13 Godchildren along with many nieces and nephews. Beloved companion of 42 years to James Kennedy.
The family extends their gratitude to Angel “Marie” Lumus and the staff of Hospice Compassus, especially Laura, Kentrell and Scott for all of the compassion and care shown during this difficult time.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at 11 AM.
