Marie Bourdeu Gardner

Marie “Dot” Bourdeu Gardner entered into eternal rest on Friday, January 16, 2015 at the age of 82. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Peter Gardner, Jr. Daughter of the late Guillaume Xavier Bourdeu and Suzanne Marie Geoffray Bourdeu. Loving and devoted mother of Joseph P. Gardner, III, Ronald M. Gardner and Gary W. Gardner (Wife Margaret “Maggie”). Grandmother of Brooke and Drew Gardner. Sister of the late Marie Louise Smith, Louis Bourdeu, Paul Bourdeu and Jeanne Hutter. Dot is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. She was born in New Orleans, LA and resided in Baton Rouge since 2005. Dot worked for Boh Brothers Construction Company for 25 years until her retirement. Dot’s visitation will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 6th Street, Gretna, LA on Saturday, January 24, 2015 from 12 Noon until 1:30PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Saturday at 1:30PM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
