Marie Rose Elston Stringfield

Marie Rose Elston Stringfield, age 85, died on 10 June 2016 at her home. Beloved wife of the late Dalcho W. “Dub” Stringfield. Mother of Robert T. Stringfield (Patricia Meilleur), Susan Yvette Stringfield, Charles D. Stringfield (former wife, Patricia Stiglitts) and William Richard Stringfield. Grandmother of Sallie E. Stringfield. Great Grandmother of Garion Stringfield. Daughter of the late Noah J. Elston, Sr. and Celia Buras. Sister of the late Noah J. Elston, Jr. and the late Robert N. Elston, formerly of Calgary, Alberta. Marie was a native of Triumph and a resident of Belle Chasse for 16 years. She worked at Buras Post Office until she retired in 1991 and was a graduate of Buras High School, Class of 1948. Memorial Services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 1:30PM. Interment will be held at a later date at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
