Marija Hladilo Popich

Marija Hladilo Popich, Age 59, born on April 20, 1953 in Ponikve, Croatia and entered into Eternal Rest peacefully at her home on Saturday April 5, 2013. Preceeded in death by her parents Stjepo and Katica Hladilo. Beloved and Devoted wife of Dinko Popich for 41 years, they were married on November 28, 1971. Loving Mother of Joseph Popich (Karen). Grandmother of Jacob, Kerra and Kyla. Sister of Stjepko Hladilo (Ivanka). Also, preceeded in death by her In Laws Jozo and Ana Popich. Sister-in-law of Drago Popich (the late Blazenka), Marija Popich Bozovic (Thomislav). Aunt of Stjepo Hladilo (Nikolina), Mateo Hladilo (Isabella), Petar Bozovic (Becky), Jocko Bozovic (Nera), Helen Popich Harris (Roger), Mary Ann Popich and Ivana Hladilo. Also survived by a host of cousins, great nephews and nieces, family, friends and her canine companion, Daisy. Mrs. Popich came to this country in 1971. She was a devoted wife, mother and a member of St. Patrick Church, Port Sulphur and Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Belle Chasse.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Hwy 23, Belle Chasse, LA on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at 1:30 PM. Interment, Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA. Parlors will be open Monday, April 8, 2013 at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA from 6 PM until 9 PM. The visitation will continue Tuesday at OLPH Church, Belle Chasse from NOON until 1:30 PM. Flowers are welcomed or donations may be made to Notre Dame Hospice or LSU Medical Center.
