Marilyn “Cookie” McDonald Vallette, age 68 entered into eternal rest on Friday, August 8, 2014. Beloved wife of Connell Vallette, Jr. for the past 46 years. Daughter of the late T.A. McDonald and Irene Trahan McDonald. Mother of Brice Vallette and Nathan Vallette. Sister of Gary T. McDonald (Anne). Best friend “sister” of Noel Branning. Cookie is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews as well as other relatives and friends. Cookie was a lifelong resident of Algiers, LA. She was a retired school teacher with Orleans Parish School Systems after 40 years of service. Visitation will be held at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 1300 Vallette Street, Algiers, LA on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 from 6PM until 9PM. Visitation will resume at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 3105 Eton Street, Algiers, LA on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 from 9AM until 11AM. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church on Wednesday at 11AM. Interment will be held privately at a later date.
