Mario Carlos Toraño Macías passed away on October 28, 2011. Beloved husband of the late Juana María González y Denis de Toraño. Father of Carlos M. Toraño (wife, Berta), Carmen Regan (husband, William), and Manuel Toraño (wife, Jodie). Grandfather of Carlos A., Christopher M., and Michael A. Toraño, Charlie and Bradley Regan, Jacob R. and Joshua F. Toraño. Great-grandfather of Ellyse and Blake Toraño. Brother of Alicia Toraño Macías. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carlos de Jesús Toraño Granda y Elvira Macías Pérez and his sister Josefina Toraño Macías de Mulet. He was 87 years of age and resided in Westwego, LA. Relatives, friends, employees and members of Pan American Life Insurance Co., Westwego Vol. Fire Department and Jefferson Parish District Attorney’s Office are invited to the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOMES, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Thursday, November 3, 2011 from 6 PM to 9 PM, resuming on Friday from 8 AM to 11 AM. A Mass will be celebrated in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum in Westwego.
