Marion Marie Frazier Burrows met her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, June 14, 2024 at the age of 86. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Grant Burrows, her son, Mark Andrew Burrows and her sister, Yancelie Rita Frazier Stovall. Marion is survived by her daughter, Juli Burrows Hartley (Kevin) her daughter-in-law, Kerry Lutz Burrows, grandchildren, Kaylin Burrows Scheuermann (Richie), Mitchell Grant Hartley and Joshua Austin Hartley. Marion was born on Grand Isle, Louisiana, the daughter of the late Mitchell Michael Frazier and Julie Dardar Frazier. Marion graduated from Grand Isle High School in 1954 and received her Associates from Nicholls Junior College in 1956. On January 26, 1957, she married her childhood sweetheart, Bill, whom she was married to for 41 years. While Marion lived most of her life as a resident of Louisiana, she resided for a short time in Alaska as Bill served in the military. In her 40 year teaching career, Marion taught third grade at Holy Name of Jesus, First Assembly Academy and Westbank Cathedral. She also taught numerous Bible studies as she loved the Word of God. One of her favorite scriptures is John 4:4. As Jesus went to Samaria to meet one woman, Marion was grateful to God for sending a Baptist missionary to Grand Isle to preach the gospel to her family. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Monday, June 17, 2024 at 1:30pm. Visitation will be held on Monday from 11:30am until 1:30pm. Interment, Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA. In lieu of flowers, donations to the League of Prayer at www. leagueofprayer.com is preferred. Family and friends may view and sign the online guest book at www.mothefunerals.com.
