Mark Anthony Phillip

Mark Anthony Phillip passed away peacefully on June 19, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of 24 years to Laura Lynn Bailey Phillip. Father of Barbara Jean Ann Phillip and Kevin Fredrick Hezeau Jr. (Sherry Massey Hezeau). Grandfather of MacKenzie Faye Hezeau, Maisyn Jewell Hezeau, and Manny Jessie Hezeau. Brother of Todd Michael Phillip Sr. (Egypte B. Phillip). Son of the late Mariano Anthony Phillip and Barbara Ann “Jean” Phillip. Godson of Margaret Guillot Phillip and the late Melvin Guillot. Uncle of Todd Michael Phillip Jr. (Amy Arceneaux Phillip), Stephen Christopher Phillip (Kristen Gilbeau Phillip), and Michael Henry Gonzales. Great-uncle of Benjamin Phillip, Jack Phillip, and Eva Phillip. Also survived by other loving relatives and friends.

Mark was a Construction Engineer Operator with Boh Brothers for 25 years and was self-employed for 10 years. He was a member of the Operating Engineers Union Local 206. Mark was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, farming and raising beagles. He will be sadly missed.

Visitation will be held at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church, 6851 River Road, Waggaman, LA on Monday, June 24, 2024 from 9 AM until 11 AM. A Funeral Mass will follow. Interment Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery.
