Mark Nelson Scheffler

Mark Nelson Scheffler went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at the age of 63. He was a lifelong resident of Gretna. He is survived by his brother Towner B. Scheffler, his sons Daniel P. Scheffler and Gary W. Scheffler, his friend Janet Robin, and four grandchildren. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served on the German frontier during the Cold War. He was a lifelong member and retired district captain of Harvey Volunteer Fire Co. #2 and EMS technician at W. Jefferson for 25 years. Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Funeral service in the chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Monday, October 22, 2012 at 11 AM. Interment will follow in McDonoghville Cemetery, Gretna LA. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 6PM until 10 PM and resume Monday morning from 9 AM until funeral time.
