Marlene Niklaus Webre peacefully entered into eternal rest on Friday, August 12, 2016 at the age of 80. Beloved and loving wife of Leroy Webre for 60 years. Daughter of the late Walter Niklaus, Sr. and Alba Crombie Darcey. Step Daughter of the late Alvin, “Pappy” Darcey, Sr. Devoted mother of Dale P. Webre (Nina), Yvette W. Bergeron (Mark S.) and Craig Webre (Shannon). Loving grandmother of Cassie Webre (Jeremy), Patrick Webre (Erin), Kaylee Bergeron (Brennan), Collin Bergeron and Connor Webre. Sister of Walter “Junie” Niklaus, Jr., Diane Martin and the late Alvin Darcey, Jr. Marlene was an outgoing, fun loving individual who left a strong impression on those whom she met. She never met a stranger. She had a contagious personality, touched many lives in a special way and she will never be forgotten. She resided in Algiers for 60 years and Belle Chasse for 20 years. She was a Charter Member of the Holy Name of Mary Nucleus and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 218. In lieu of flowers, please consider in her memory a donation to the Susan B. Koman Breast Cancer Foundation, 4141 Veterans Blvd # 202, Metairie, LA 70002. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 from 9AM until 11AM. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11AM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
