Marscel Rice Howard Mcgovern

Marscel Rice Howard McGovern entered into eternal rest on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at the age of 88. Beloved wife of the late James A. McGovern, Sr. Daughter of the late Walter Rice and Emily Hymel Rice. Loving and devoted mother of Walter Howard, James A. McGovern, Jr., Addie M. Bond, Judy M. Guarisco and Melinda McGovern. Survived by 11 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren. Sister of the late Raynell R. Rushton. Aunt of Patricia Oldham and Glen Rushton. Marscel was an avid Saints Fan and she loved Mardi Gras. She was born in Algiers, LA; resided in St. Joseph Apartments in Gretna, LA; and until her death she resided with her son and daughter-in-law, Walter and Pat Howard. A Visitation will be held at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 from 6PM until 10PM. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 from 8AM until 11AM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11AM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
