Martin R. Alexie, Jr. , a resident of Lafitte, LA for 72 years, passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2012. Beloved husband of Evida Schultz Alexie for 60 years. Father of Larry Alexie,Sr., Kathy Alexie Helmer, Corkey Alexie, Sr., Claudia Alexie Helmer, Marty Alexie and Joy Sapia Alexie. Father in law of Jerry Helmer, Gerry Helmer, Jennifer, Gwen and Bluette. Brother of Carroll Alexie, Rita Mae and Susan Prestenback. Jo Ann Klaffer, Johnny Alexie and the late Francis Caulfield, Felix Alexie, Sr., Vincent Alexie Sr., Shirley Gonzalo, and Regina Williams. Son of the late Martin Alexie, Sr. and Nora Thiel. Mr. Alexie was also survived by 38 grandchildren. A native of Lafitte, LA. Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Visitation at St. Pius X Church, Crown Point, LA on Friday, October 12, 2012 from 9AM until 1 PM. The Funeral Mass will be said at 1 PM.
