Marvin John "Moe" Reed

November 15, 1931 — November 18, 2013

Marvin John “Moe” Reed passed away on November 18, 2013 at the age of 82 years. Beloved husband of Dianna Rogers Reed. Father of Cyrus J. Reed (Dana), Trever J. Reed (Joanne) and Michaeline Ballard (Todd). Grandfather of Jonathon, Cyrus Jr., Blake, Tyler, Carlie, Trever Jr., Morgan and Ty. Great-grandfather of Seth, Cason and Cyrus III. Brother of Patrick Reed, the late Joyce Reed and Elaine Presler. Son of the late John Ignatius Reed and Margaret Hopel Reed. Also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
Moe served his country in the U.S. Army, was retired civil service with the U.S. Air Force at Naval Air Station/Callendar Field in Belle Chasse and later retired from the Secretary of State, Commissioner of Elections. He was a member of Immaculata Knights of Columbus Council No. 4222 and served in several offices including Deputy Grand Knight. He was an active parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church in Marrero and along side his beloved Dianna, co-chaired the Church fair for several years.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Friday, November 22, 2013 at 11 AM. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 6 PM to 10 PM, resuming on Friday from 8 AM to 11 AM.
