Mary Ann Hebert LeBlanc, born January 22, 1932, passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2022 on her 90th birthday. Mary Ann was married to the love of her life, Jim, (George R.) LeBlanc (dec) for 30 years. She was the beloved daughter of Zenobia Louise Pellegrin Hebert (dec) and Cline Elie Hebert (dec). Sister of Laura Lee Hebert Blanchard (Eddie) (dec), Julius Hebert (dec) (Gloria), Andrew Hebert (dec) (Carmela) (dec), Carrol Hebert (dec) (Muriel) (dec), Melvin Hebert (dec) (Ann), (Rose)(dec), and Merlin Hebert (dec). Survived by Goddaughter, Sharon Hebert Lasseigne, husband, Jimmy, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mary Ann was born in Westwego, LA but resided in Golts, Maryland, Wilmington, Delaware and in recent years, Fairhope, Alabama after marriage to her beloved Jim.
After graduating from Springhill College in Mobile with a degree in nursing, Mary Ann became a surgical nurse for many years at West Jefferson Hospital, specializing in heart surgeries and transplants.
Mary Ann loved to travel and spent her off time traveling the world. After her marriage to Jim, she continued her travels within the continental United States and was blissfully happy in their life together.
Mary Ann was a Catholic, first and foremost. She was a member of the Blue Army, a member of the Ladies Altar Societies at all her church parishes and made scapulas for their religious stores.
Mary Ann was Nanny to all her nieces and nephews. She loved her family deeply and unconditionally.
Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Visitation at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church, 148 Fourth Street, Westwego, LA on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM Funeral Mass time. Interment will be in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery Mausoleum, Westwego, LA. Mothe Funeral Homes handled arrangements.
