Mary Snipes Black, age 83 passed peacefully, Saturday, March 4, 2023 in her home surrounded by her family. Mary was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, but was a lifelong resident of Plaquemines Parish, La. Mary, wife of the late Richard Miller Black Jr. Mother to Ronald Dale Black, Sharon Kay Ballay and the late Raymond (Tommy) Black. Grandmother to Alisha Cannon Black Arena, Cerissa Blanchard-Black, Jennifer Ballay Portie and the late Cory Jacob Coon. Grandmother-in-law to the late Christopher Paul Blanchard. Beloved Great Grandmother to Elijah Henry, Addison LeJeune, Lyric Blanchard, Cory Ritter, Mason Portie, Landry Portie. Mary was loved by all who knew her and truly enjoyed her life living on the Bayous of Happy Jack, La. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway in Harvey, La 70058 on Friday, March, 10 2023, at 11am.Visitation will be held from 9am until 11am.
