Mary Frances "Francie" Taylor

Mary Frances “Francie” Taylor passed away peacefully at home in her sleep on October 16, 2016. Beloved wife of nearly 60 years to Jack C. Taylor Sr. She loved and was loved unconditionally by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Loving mother of Jack Curtis Taylor Jr. (wife, the late Maria), James Brian Taylor (wife Lisa Powell), Mary Birdwell (husband Rick Birdwell), Geneva Tassin (husband Mark Tassin) and Liz Taylor (wife Valerie Agard). She was also survived by her eight grandchildren: Melanie Jiannuzzi Gregg (husband, Ronan Gregg), Nikki Taylor, Megan Birdwell, Richard Birdwell and his wife Amanda Birdwell, Bryan Taylor, Curtis Taylor, Cameron Tassin, Emmett Tassin and was also survived by her three great-grandchildren: Luke Yard, Audrey Yard and Henry Richard Birdwell. Sister of the late Robert Rust and Hazel Burrichter. Daughter of the late Henry Otto Rust and Geneva E. Hargan Rust. Also survived by her canine companion Roxey along with many other loving relatives and friends.
Francie was born in Cairo, IL on June 15, 1929 and married her beloved Jack on Christmas Day, 1950. She lived in Mounds and Cairo, IL, Paducah, KY and moved with her family to New Orleans, LA in 1966 and remained in the same house until her passing. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed many years playing golf at the Willowdale Country Club in Luling, LA with her many golfing buddies. She will be sadly missed.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOMES, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Thursday, October 20, 2016 from 1 PM to 4 PM. Memorial Services will follow in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place at a later date in Villa Ridge, IL next to her beloved Jack.
