Mary Lou Vaughn Hebert passed away peacefully on September 28, 2016 at the age of 88 years. Beloved wife of the late Edvar J. Hebert. Loving mother of Marcia Lynn Hebert Polk (Paul), Leonard Hebert (Barbara) and the late Mary Dell Hebert Jones (Thomas). Grandmother of Tammy Lynn Jones Williams (Montford Williams IV), Michael Thomas Jones (Krista), Megan Rae Hebert Wright (Justin), Alexandra E. Polk and Zachary J. Polk. Great-grandmother of Montford E. Williams V, Nathan Thomas Jones, Aiden Michael Jones and Greyson Alexander Jones and Jaxon Lee Wright. Sister of the late Annie Belle Vaughn Hebert. Daughter of the late Lucia Menard Vaughn and Clairphe J. Vaughn. Also survived by other loving family members and friends.
She was born in Abbeville, LA, lived for many years in Port Sulphur and most recently, resided in Denham Springs with her daughter. She graduated from Abbeville High School and later, served her church and community as a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Ladies Altar Society, Port Sulphur VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Port Sulphur High School PTA and Band Booster.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Lilibeth Rochon, Doctors and staff of the Heart Clinic of Louisiana, Southern Pines in Walker, LA, Clarity Hospice, Tiffany Square and Mrs. Sheila Baker and Staff for their care and compassion during this difficult time.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOMES, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Monday, October 3, 2016 from 10 AM until 12 noon. A Funeral Mass will follow at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 28683 Hwy. 23, Port Sulphur, LA 70083 for 1 PM. Interment will take place in the Church cemetery.
