Mary Louise "Dorsey" Polite

Mary Louise Polite (also known as Dorsey) a resident of the Washington, D.C. area died Friday the 2nd of October in 2015 at the Deanwood Nursing Home in Washington, D.C. Dorsey was 83 years old.

Dorsey was born the 7th of December in 1931 in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late parents of Virginia Hunter and Earl Polite. Dorsey was committed to taking care of people. During her younger years she worked in housekeeping. She then moved on to taking care of children. She helped her daughter with raising her grandchildren and also worked in her daughters and granddaughters daycare center as an assistant. Children loved Dorsey and enjoyed her presence.

Dorsey loved traveling across the country end enjoyed trying different foods. She cherished the time that she spent with her family. She always had time for a joke and loved a good laugh.

Dorsey is survived by her daughter Dorcella Holmes, her grandchildren: Dorecia Baggett-Waisome, George Baggett Jr. (Nanny, Little Ed), Joseph Baggett, Nathaniel Baggett, and her great grandchildren: Adorjan Price, Joton Baggett, Natalie Baggett, Makayla Waisome, and Makenzie Waisome.

Services will be held on the 12th of October, 2015, 10:00am at Mothe Funeral Home, 1300 Vallette Street, Algiers, LA 70114.
