Mary Robbie Lowry

Mary Robbie Lowry, a homemaker, passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at the age of 82 years. Beloved wife and best friend of James Wallace Lowry of 63 years. Mother of Annette Dupuis (Husband, Russell), Christina James (Husband, Kenny), Deborah Gaudin (Husband, Daniel) and Jayna Guidry (Husband, Kevin). Daughter of the late Yves and Gula Guillory. Sister of Nell Chiappetta (Husband, Guy), Jerry Guillory (Wife, Denise Lyles) and Donald Guillory. Grandmother of Blanche Smith (Husband, Joshua), Paige Sobiesk (Husband, Logan), Maddie James, Allie James, Gabrielle Cox (Husband, Dylan), Jude Mundschenk (Husband, Timothy), James Guidry (Wife, Jessica Farizo), Alec Guidry (Wife, Anne Vullo) and Hana Guidry (Justin). Great Grandmother to Emma, Ruby, Freya, Rowan, Scarlett, Luke and Finley. Robbie was a native of Ville Platte, Louisiana, moved to Port Sulphur, Louisiana when she was fifteen and resided there for 49 years, until Hurricane Katrina. She and her husband then moved to Carriere, Mississippi where she passed away peacefully in her home with family by her side. Over the years, she loved traveling across the United States with her husband and loved to craft and sew. She was a member of Les Belle Dames and the smocking art guild. She was also a parishioner of St. Patrick Church in Port Sulphur where she was a member of the Altar Society and choir. She will be missed by many, although the legacy she showed her family and friends will live on forever. Flowers are welcomed or donations/Masses in lieu of flowers to St. Patrick Catholic Church, 28698 Highway 23, Port Sulphur, Louisiana 70083. Family and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 610 Sixth Street, Gretna, Louisiana on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 from 9AM until 11AM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the church on Tuesday at 11AM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, Louisiana.
