Mary Ruth Maggiore

Mary Ruth Dunn Maggiore, born August 1, 1929 in the Irish Channel, New Orleans, LA, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at the age of 85. Beloved wife of Thomas G. Maggiore, Jr. for the past 40 years; Daughter of the late William Joseph Dunn and Mary Ruth Zimmerman; Loving mother of Robert L. Black (Toni Lynn) and William J. Black, Sr.; Grandmother of William "Beau" Black (Tran), Jennifer Cannon (Brian), Cheryl Mackie (Terry), and Kristine White (Phil); Great-grandmother of Kadence, Kalli, Cayman, and Kane. Sister of Eugenia "Jeanie" Berthelot. Preceeded in death by siblings: Alice Doran, Andrew Dunn, Lourdes "Lou" St. Philip, and John "JC" Dunn. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Resident of Belle Chasse for more than 40 years. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the kind staff from Our Lady of Wisdom healthcare center. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend visitation at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Wednesday, June 24, 2015, from 10am - 1pm. A funeral mass will be held in the chapel at 1pm. Interment will follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery #2 in New Orleans, LA.
