Mary Shano Richard passed away on June 7, 2011. She was 78 years of age and resided in Gretna, LA. Beloved wife of 60 years to Roger Richard, Sr. Mother of Carmelita “Lita” Ducote (Donald), Roger J. “R.J.” Richard, Donna Richard, Roseanna Piglia and Crystal Reese. Grandmother of Lindsay Guidry (Cody), Payton and Cody Piglia and the late Revee’ Eschette. Great-grandmother of Mason and Maddison Ducote and Morgan Guidry. Sister of Angelina Bourgeois, Lena Kass, Mike, Charlie and Paul Shano, the late Joe, Sam and William “Buffa” Shano and Louise Breaux. She loved to fish and play cards. Relatives, friends and members of Theta Golden Agers, Gould Vol. Fire Company, employees and retirees of Union-Pacific Railroad are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 11 AM.
