Mary Kern Santos

Mary Kern Santos passed away on January 10, 2014 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Her family was by her side. She was born in New Orleans to the late Edward J. Kern and Catherine Newman Kern on March 18, 1938. She was the beloved wife of the late Joachim T. Santos and is survived by her children Sherrill, Andrea Duplechain (Stephen), Edward "Skip" Santos (Linda), and Karen Lambousy (Greg) along with eight grandchildren: Catherine and Ryan Santos; Alaina, Stephanie, and Stephen Duplechain; Gregory, Patrick, and Tristan Lambousy. She was preceded in death by her brother, Edward Newman Kern. She will be remembered for her love of family, friends, and life. Visitation will be from 9 am until 11 am on Tuesday, January 14, at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA. Mass will be held at Mothe's at 11 am.
