Mary V. Scariano Sarbeck passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2012 at the age of 95. Beloved wife of the late Capt. John W. Sarbeck, Sr. Mother of Capt. John W. Sarbeck, Jr. and the late Freddie Sarbeck. Mother-in-law of Gayle Macaluso Sarbeck. Daughter of the late Katherine and Jake Scariano. Sister of the late Johnny, Joe, Frank and Luke Scariano and the late Anna Arceneaux. Grandmother of Beckie Sarbeck Buff (Jason Cole) and Beth Sarbeck Spreen (Capt. Aubrey Richard, Sr.) Great grandmother of Ruby Ann Spreen and Aubrey Richard Spreen, Jr. Special thanks to Barbara Faust, Nathalie Bodden, Arleen Spence and Amedisys Hospice for their loving care. A longtime parishioner of St. Andrew the Apostle Church and a lifelong resident of Algiers, LA. Relatives and friends of the family, also members and employees of New Orleans - Baton Rouge Steamship Pilots Association are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at 1 PM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9AM until funeral time. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to Children’s Hospital.
