Mary Matherne Stein

Mary Matherne Stein passed away on March 12, 2015 at the age of 67 years. Beloved mother of John Stein III (Amy), Julie Sotres (Ricardo), Jason Stein (Lisa) and Michael Stein (Tina). Sister of Delores Gordon, Alice Breaux, Ivy Blanda, Edmond and Anthony Matherne. Preceded in death by her brothers, Alvin and Allen Matherne. Daughter of the late Ivy B. Matherne and Edmond Matherne Sr. Also survived by 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends who loved her greatly. A native of New Orleans and a lifelong resident of Marrero, LA.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd. Marrero, LA on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at 11am. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 16, 2015 from 6pm until 10pm. and again on Tuesday morning from 9am until 11am. Interment Restlawn Park Cemetery.
