Mary Alice Tompkins

Mary Alice Buras Tompkins passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at the age of 58 years. Beloved wife of Gerald Paul Tompkins, Sr. Mother of Miranda Brown (Wayne), Christina Brown (Israel), Joseph Scarabin (Kristy), Cortney Sylve (Ron), Gerald Tompkins II (Michelle), Brandon Tompkins (Tiffany), and Brent Tompkins (Brianna). Daughter of Muriel Buras and the late Peter Buras. Sister of Odessa Galmiche, Damien Buras, Ray Buras, and the late Ronald Buras, Sr. and Mitchel Buras. Also survived by 16 grandchildren, one great grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews. She was a lifelong resident of Plaquemines Parish. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expwy., Harvey, LA on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at 11am. Interment, Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitaion will be held on Monday, July 6, 2015 at the funeral home from 6pm until midnight and again on Tuesday morning from 9am until 11am.
