Moe Bode passed away unexpectedly at home on December 16, 2015, at the age of 44. Native of Terrytown and resident of New Orleans. Beloved father of Jake Joseph Bode and son of Penny Bode and the late Maurice Bode, Sr. Survived by sisters Dina Edwards and Lisa Bode, former spouse Crissy Bode, loving aunts Deetsy Malouse and Joanne Cannon, brother-in-law Dave Edwards, nephews Jason Glaudi (Vicki), Zack Edwards and Josh Edwards, and numerous loving cousins, particularly Carin Prindle and Nick Prindle, and close friends. First and foremost, Moe was devoted to his young son. Jake was the light of his life. He was a dedicated educator at Delgado Community College and the University of New Orleans. He was also an insurance agent for Continental Insurance Company. Moe was a people person who loved life. He had many lifelong friends from Holy Cross School, SLU, and UNO graduate school. He was an easygoing guy and loyal friend to all. Gone from this life suddenly and much too soon, but he will never be forgotten by family and friends alike. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Wednesday, December 23rd at 12 PM at St Dominic's Church located at 775 Harrison Ave., New Orleans.
