Maurice "Smitty" Ellen Shaw

Maurice E. “Smitty” Shaw, of New Orleans, Louisiana, passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at the age of 98. She was married for 66 years to Lamar Shaw. Mother of Nancy Shaw, Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Jerry Shaw, New Orleans, Louisiana. She was born to Nora Alice Hunt and Green David Smith in Mill Creek, Oklahoma on November 22, 1915. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, William Sales Smith. Maurice attended Hickory High School and Murray State School of Agriculture, Tishomingo, Oklahoma.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Graveside Service on Monday, July 28, 2014 at 9:00 am in McDonogh Cemetery, 500 Hancock Street, Gretna, LA 70056.
