Mazie Sylve Ancar

Mazie Sylve Ancar, entered into eternal rest on Friday, August 15, 2014 at the age of 85. Beloved wife of Winnie Ancar, Sr. for the past 67 years. Daughter of the late Albert Sylve and Josephine Ancar Sylve. Loving mother of Larry Ancar (Celeste), Winnie Ancar, Jr. (Lisa), Sonya Ancar (the late Gerald), Jennifer Stewart (the late Benjamin, Jr.) and Marcie Tureaud (the late Stafford, Jr.). Sister of the late Albert Sylve, Jr., Arthur Sylve, Amy Sylve and Edna Teal. Survived by 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Mazie was a lifelong resident of Diamond, LA. She is a retired Cafeteria Manager of St. Jude School. A visitation will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Highway 23, Port Sulphur, LA on Thursday, August 21, 2014 from 9AM until 10AM. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church on Thursday at 10AM. Interment will be in Barthelemy Cemetery, Diamond, LA. MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA in charge of arrangements.
