Melanie Gibson Huth

Melanie Gibson Huth, born on August 5, 1941, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, December 10, 2023. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Barataria, Louisiana. She was the wife of Nicholas G. Huth II, whom she dearly loved. Melanie was preceded in death by her parents, Stephen J. Gibson and Anita S. Gibson. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Nicholas G. Huth II, her children, Nicholas G. Huth III (Zenaida), Shelley E. Huth and Stephen G. Huth (Katherine), her grandchildren, who were her pride and joy, Kevin N. Baker (Emily), Kayleigh Rose Baker, Jamie N. Huth, and Matthew S. Huth, great grandchildren, Sully Courtway and Maya Jade Baker. She was the owner of Lakeside Coiffures and later Lakeside Hair Designers for more than 40 years. Special thanks to the Woldenberg Village skilled nursing staff, Stephanie “Susie” Adams and Melinda Harlow of Heart of Hospice for their love, care and support during the last few months. Family and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Visitation at Greenwood Funeral Home,5200 Canal Blvd, New Orleans, LA on Friday, January 5, 2024 from 9am until 11am. Interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
