Melvin R. Mai on Monday, January 7, 2013. Beloved husband of Delores Mai. Father of Tammy Figley (Reggie) and Brenda Mai. Grandfather of Jeremy and Justin Figley. Also survived by 3 brothers and 5 sisters; Ken and wife Georgeann of Shawnee, KS, Richard and wife Barbara of Fort Morgan, CO, Don and wife Shirley of Wakeeney, KS, Alvina and husband Gene of Hemet, CA, Marie and husband Curt of Florence, OR, Betty Stone of Spring Valley, CA, Evelyn and husband Don of Morland, KS, Sharon and husband Doyle of Centennial, CO and nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, Fred J. and Christina Mai, brother Emmanuel, 3 sisters, Irene Mai, Darlene Young Luttig and Billie Burgardt. A native of Wakeeney, KS and resident of Algiers, LA. Mr. Mai was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a member of the Knights of Columbus St. Andrew #9107, and GEAPS.
