Merci Amor Zuniga Acosta

On December 22, 2024, the world lost a shining light with the passing of Merci Amor Zuniga Acosta, affectionately known as "Baby Bunny." Born on March 12, 2021, in Metairie, Louisiana, she graced our lives with her gentle spirit and infectious laughter. Though her time with us was far too brief, Baby Bunny became a source of joy and love for all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Merci's journey came to an end in Westwego, yet her memory will forever be cherished. She touched the hearts of many and will be remembered for her joyful nature and the warmth she brought into every room she entered. As a beloved daughter, she held a special place in the heart of her mother, Isabel Batres Zuniga, who adored her profoundly.

She is lovingly survived by her grandmother, Jenelle Guzman, and her grandfather, Oscar Guzman, both of whom offered her love and support throughout her life. Her uncle, Christopher Ourso, and her devoted godparents, Lauren Triche and Trenton Ourso, also shared a precious bond with her, ensuring that her spirit always had family around, inseparable and filled with warmth and love.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation at Marrero - Mothe Funeral Homes, LLC, located at 7040 Lapalco Blvd, Marrero, LA, on January 4, 2025. The visitation will take place from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM, and will be followed by a Mass from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The day will culminate in a cremation service starting at 12:00 PM and wrapping up by 1:00 PM.

Merci Amor Zuniga Acosta's legacy of love will continue to resonate within the hearts of her family and all who knew her. May she be embraced by the heavens, where she will frolic freely, forever our Baby Bunny.
