Merle Antoinette Scarabin

Our wonderful loving MOM what can we say, mere words cannot express how we feel and what a wonderful mother and servant of God she was. How God must have loved us to have especially handpicked her to be our mom. She was the sunshine on our face, the soft wind was the touch of her loving hand, she is the moonlight, the stars our very rock and foundation. Everywhere Mom went, she didn’t leave without a new friend or two. She was and is an inspiration to everyone she met. We thank God each and every day for picking Merle to be our very own Mon and Angel. This is not good-bye Mom; this is just till we meet again in Heaven. We will always feel your love and you will always make us smile. We would just like to tell you, you make us all very proud to call you MOM. Merle Antoinette Scarabin, passed away on April 19, 2011 at the age of 88. Beloved wife of the late Cyril T. Scarabin. Daughter of the late Henry F. Buras and Hilda C. Conaway. Beloved and Loving mother of Priscilla Copous (Husband Vernon), Dianne Hingle (Husband Rodney), Darleen Ennis (Husband Allen), Charleen Barrios (Husband Thomas), Annette Landry (Husband Larry), Isadora Simoneaux (Husband Gary) and Angel Zimmerman (Husband William). Sister of Joyce Clark, Henry Buras (Wife Wanda) and Flora May Buras. Survived b y 21 Grandchildren, 55 Great Grandchildren and 19 Great great Grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Thursday, April 21, 2011 from 6PM until 10PM. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Friday, April 22, 2011 from 9AM until 11AM. A Funeral Service will take place at the funeral home on Friday at 11AM.
