Merlin J. Landry went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at the age of 87 years. Beloved husband of the late Bonnie Landry. Father of Merlin P. "Sonny" Landry (Sandra), Jeanne M. Clement (Marvin), and the late Ronald J. Landry and Kenneth M. Landry. Son of the late Felix and Lena Landry. Son in law of Dolian and Kate Rodrigue. Grandfather of Danial Landry, David Landry (Liz), Derek Tenorio (Heather), Debra Overstreet (Joshua), Danielle Tenorio, and Dustin Tenorio (Taylor). Step Grandfather of Amanda Street (Lido), Joshua Clement (Raelyn), and Mallory Bourgeois (Daniel). Great grandfather of Tanner, Annabel and Paisley. He was a native of Marrero, LA and a resident of Covington, LA for the past 5 years. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expwy., Harvey, LA on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 1pm. Interment, McDonogh Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday morning from 11am until 1pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Discalced Carmelite Nuns of Covington, LA.
