Merlin George Rudolph

Merlin George Rudolph entered into eternal rest on Friday, December 12, 2014. Beloved and loving husband of 60 years to Mary Jane Plaisance Rudolph. Son of the late George Vincent Rudolph and Virginia Rotolo Rudolph. Loving and devoted father of George V. Rudolph (Mandi), Randy M. Rudolph (Terri), Kent D. Rudolph (Jenny) and Jilda R. Weber (Randy) who currently resides in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Grandfather of Shantell, Nicol, Zachary, Trevor, Randy, Joe, Sara, Heather, Amanda, Adam and Andrew. Also survived by 10 great grandchildren. Brother of Valance Roudolfich and Donald Rudolph. Merlin is survived by many nieces and nephews. He was born in Harvey, LA and resided in Westwego, LA. He served his country while enlisted in the National Guard. He was a lifetime member of the Westwego Fire Department and a former employee of American Cyanamid (Cytec). In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Westwego Volunteer Fire Department, 677 Avenue H, Westwego, LA 70094 in memory of Merlin. Merlin’s visitation will be held at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Monday, December 15, 2014 from 6PM until 10PM. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 from 8AM until 11AM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11AM. Internment will be in Gate of Heaven Mausoleum, Westwego, LA.
