Merrol Thomas Capdeville, loving husband, father, grandfather, loyal relative and friend to all passed away Monday, July 22, 2013. Beloved husband of Susan Bouvier Capdeville for 48 years. Loving father of Kay L. Capdeville, Terrol T. Capdeville (Kerri) and Carey T. Capdeville (Korey). Grandfather of Matthew, Madeline, Colby, and Nicholas Capdeville. Brother-in-law of Karen and Boylan Joia, Kenny and Shirley Bouvier. Also survived by a host of family and friends. Brother of the late Charles E. Capdeville (Betty) and son of the late Marie “Sue” Thomassie Capdeville and Vernon “Whitey” Capdeville. Mr. Merrol was a bank manager for many years at First National Bank of Jefferson and Regions Bank. He was a member of Kiwanis Club of West Jefferson and the KAT Tailgaters. He was also a faithful parishioner of Visitation of Our Lady Church, Marrero and served as a Eucharistic Minister. Age, 68 years. A native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. “The world has lost a good man and heaven has gained an angel.”
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd, Marrero, LA on Thursday, July 25, 2013 at 2 PM. Interment, Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA. Parlors will be open Thursday from 9 AM until 2 PM. The family graciously accepts floral tributes as well as donations in his name to Children’s Hospital, New Orleans, LA.
