Mervin J. “Mr. John” Quatrevingt entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at the age of 100. Beloved husband of the late Mildred Hebert Quatrevingt. Son of the late Bernard Quatrevingt and Elmire Robicheaux Quatrevingt. Father of Bernard Quatrevignt (Wife, Barbara), Lucien Quatrevingt (Wife, Amalia), Carl Quatrevingt (Wife, the late Linda), Patricia Ranatza (Husband, Frank) and JoAnn Hymel (Husband, Dale). Brother of the late Elsie Kable and Beulah LeBlanc. He is survived by 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, numerous great great grandchildren, as well as step grandchildren, step great grandchildren and step great great grandchildren and preceded in death by 1 late grandchild. Mervin served in the United States Army for 4 years during World War II. He was an employee of Rheem Manufacturing Company for 27 years as a Machine Operator and Old Southport Gambling House. He was born in Labadieville, LA, resided in Harvey, LA for 50 years and resided in Wynhoven Health Care Center for the past 9 months. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the Staff of Wynhoven Health Care Center for their love and care given to Mervin. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 from 9AM until 11AM.
