Michael Joseph Becknel

Michael Joseph Becknel of Belle Chasse, LA passed away on May 21, 2014 at 4:10AM at the age of 50. He was born November 17, 1963 in Patuxent River, Maryland. He was an amazing cook. He loved to grill out and boil seafood. He so loved his crabs. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved his family, sons and grandsons so very much, they were his pride and joy. He was a very proud dad and pawpaw. He was always joking, such a jokester. No one more charismatic than he. He lived life to the fullest. He was a former employee of Home Depot in the Pro Sales Department for many years. Very talented with his hands, he could build anything. He was the finace’ of Rhonda L. Hebert. Son of Joycelyn Brodmyer Becknel and the late Thomas E. Becknel, Sr. Father of Michael J. Morrison, Robbie (Bert) Becknel and Ethan Hebert. Grandfather of Landen Mandola and Silas Buhl. Brother of Donald P. Becknel (Cindy) and the late Thomas E. Becknel, Jr., and the late Karen Becknel Campo (Gabe). Uncle of Sara B. Greeno (Aaron), Danielle R. Lewis (Derrick), Timothy J. Becknel and Devan Lewis (Noel). Great Uncle of Kale Ulloa. Mike is also survived by several beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends. He will be always on our minds and forever in our hearts, he will be missed terribly. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the family to aide in funeral expenses. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Monday, May 26, 2014 from 6PM until 10PM. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 from 8AM until 11AM. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11AM. Interment will be in St. Roch II Cemetery, New Orleans, LA.
