Michael Lee "Mike" Greathouse entered into eternal rest on Saturday, June 18, 2016, at the age of 59. For most of his life Mike was an auto mechanic, with over 25 years as an ASE Certified Mechanic. He was a resident of Gretna, Louisiana for the past 27+ years.
Mike was born to Wilbur C. Greathouse and Margaret Bennett ( Greathouse ) Woodrow on October 27, 1956 in Fort Knox, KY, and raised in Meadville, Pennsylvania, graduating from Meadville High School in 1974.
He was an avid dart and pool team player and loved riding his motorcycle. Mike served his country for 9 + years, in the United States Air Force, spending many of those years abroad including England, Japan, Egypt, Thailand and the Phillipines. He was a member of the American Legion and Fleet Reserve Association 162 in Gretna. He was a supporter of the Wounded Warriors Project.
In addition to his parents, Mike is survived by Stepmother Alberta Greathouse, sisters Cheryl Smith, Shelly Munsterman and Renee ( Adam ) Potosky, brothers Robert ( Sherry ) Woodrow, Russell ( Rhonda ) Woodrow, Thomas Greathouse, Ronald Woodrow and Arthur Greathouse. Michael is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law Robert Munsterman, grandparents and several Aunts and Uncles.
