Michael Ling

Michael Ling passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2012. Beloved husband of Marian Isbell Ling. Father of Lennie Brown (Carrie), Scott Brown (Danielle) and Michael Ling. Grandfather of Zowie Guilbeau, Jessica, Katie, Madison and Travis Brown. Son of the late Anastasia Ballis and Wanchai Ling. Mr. Ling was a Veteran of the United States Army having served one tour in Vietnam and continuing his service though the Desert Storm Conflict in the early 1990’s. He also served his community as a Lieutenant with the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office and retired after 34 years. Mr. Ling also worked with the State’s Attorney General’s Office and most recently with Gretna Police Department. He was a native of Galveston, TX and a resident of Harvey, LA. Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Thursday, October 25, 2012 at 1 PM. Interment in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA. Visitation will be Thursday from 9 AM until 1 PM.
