Mickey Simoneaux Pizani, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister entered into eternal rest on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at the age of 79. Wife of the late Norman Pizani. Daughter of the late Louis and Laura Simoneaux. Mother of Jessica Pizani Dippel (Husband Donald) and Julie Pizani. Grandmother of Christine Jeansonne, Ryan Jeansonne and Michelle Jeansonne. Step grandmother of Jessica Dippel Richardson and Jennifer Dippel. Step great grandmother of Addie Richardson. Sister of Elsie Boudreaux, Emily Hymel, Morris Simoneaux and the late Hayward Simoneaux, Evy S. Dille, Hazel S. Mabile, Edward Simoneaux, Lee Anna S. Melancon and Teeny S. Cooke. Mickey is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. She was born in Paincourtville, LA and resided in Lafitte and Marrero, LA. At the age of 54, Mickey received her teaching degree from Holy Cross College and taught at Jean Lafitte Elementary School. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Sunday, November 4, 2012 from 6PM until 9PM. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Monday, November 5, 2012 from 11:30AM until 1:30PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Lafitte, LA on Monday at 2PM.
