Mildred Chauvin Fryou

Mildred Chauvin Fryou, Age 93 years, passed away on Sunday, January 27, 2013. Beloved wife of the late Ralph Mitchell Fryou, Sr. for 54 years. Loving and devoted friend of the late Cleophas “Lucky” LeBlanc. Mother of Sharon Sonnier (Charles), Rev. Chris Fryou (Paula) and the late Ralph Fryou, Jr. (Ann). Also survived by eight lovely grandchildren and eight beautiful great grandchildren with two on the way. Daughter of the late Laura Davis Chauvin and Nelson P. Chauvin. Mrs. Fryou loved volunteering at Touro Shakespere home Algiers until they closed, then with the West Jefferson Hospital Auxiliary for 17 years and also at Wynhoven Rehabilitation Hospital for many years. She lived in the Wynhoven Apartments since 1995 and was active there in her early years.
Mrs. Mildred did all sorts of crafts. She talked about her fond memories and friendships she made during that time. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Cletus Church, 3600 Claire Ave., Gretna, LA on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at NOON. Internment, Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA. Parlors will be open at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Thursday from 10 AM until 11:30 AM.
