Milton E. Wilkinson, born May 4, 1919 in Gramercy, LA, a longtime resident of Empire, LA Plaquemines Parish, passed away January 21, 2012 10:30 AM at Ochsner Westbank Hospital from complications of Pneumonia. Husband of the late Jeroma Farac Wilkinson. Father of Ernest M. “Ernie” Wilkinson, Jr. (wife, Catherine Cordes Wilkinson), Edward A. Wilkinson and the late Eric G. Wilkinson. Also survived by four grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Son of the late Edward F. Wilkinson and his mother Mary Pulliam Wilkinson. Preceeded in death by his brothers, Edward (wife, Ethel), Arthur (Mary), Clarence (Florence); and by his sisters Lydia Harder (Roger), Violet Taylor (Frances) and Shirley Sumerlin (Elton). Mr. Wilkinson was a World War II Veteran serving in the U.S. Army Air Force 108th Airborne Troop Carrier Squadron. He was also a member of the Gerrard Barrios Masonic Lodge #469 F& AM, Belle Chasse, LA. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 from 9 AM until 11 AM. The funeral service will follow at 11 AM. Interment, Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA. Special Thanks to Ochsner Westbank Hospital.
