Mitchel J. Cancienne

Mitchel J. Cancienne, age 82, husband of Norma Martin Cancienne for 61 years. He leaves a daughter Joan Cancienne Alberado and Philip Mitchel Cancienne, grandfather of Andy Jude Alberado, Grace Amelia Cancienne, and Lucy Jane Cancienne. Father-in-law of Marvin J. Alberado, Jr. and Stephanie Montreuil Cancienne. Son of the late Louise Bourgeois Cancienne and Corbett Cancienne. Brother of Carrie Cancienne Plaisance, Lindy Cancienne, the late Corbett Cancienne, and the late Catherine Cancienne Urso. He had many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was an accountant and office manager of Val's Diving Service for more than 30 years. He was also a member of the Sea Tigers Scuba Diving Club for over 50 years. He was born in Marrero, LA and a life-long resident of the Westbank. Internment services will be private and a memorial services at a later date. The family request that in lieu of flowers a donation be made on behalf of his granddaughter to the National Pediatric Myoclonus Center, Michael R. Pranzatelli, M.D., Department of Neurology, P.O.
